The Fiend (1977) follows the story of an unassuming journalist who works at the Tribuna Sera newspaper, seated at a desk adjacent to the restroom. One day, he receives an enigmatic letter that turns out to be from a serial killer. Seizing the opportunity to boost his career, he publishes the letters, leading to a significant increase in newspaper sales. However, it takes him some time to unravel the true identity of the killer.
