No Pockets in a Shroud (1974) follows the relentless journey of a journalist, Dolannes, portrayed by Jean-Pierre Mocky, who is driven by an insatiable desire to expose the truth. His newspaper, however, is controlled by corporations that prefer to maintain a calm and balanced facade, often suppressing his investigative stories. Fed up with the censorship, Dolannes decides to start his own publication. Through his new platform, he fearlessly reveals the corrupt underbelly of the sports world, exposes a politician who performs abortions under the guise of medical practice, and continues to unearth uncomfortable truths that others would rather keep hidden.
