Battlefield Heroes (2011) is a historical drama set in the 7th century, chronicling a complex and comedic conflict among the Korean kingdoms of Silla, Goguryeo, and the Chinese Tang dynasty. The ambitious Silla kingdom forms an alliance with the Tang dynasty to challenge their formidable Korean adversary, Goguryeo. Kim Yoo-Shin (Jeong Jin-Yeong), a brilliant strategist with a vision to unify Korea, becomes aware of the Tang dynasty's hidden agenda to dominate the Korean peninsula. In response, Kim secretly plots to unite with Goguryeo to counter the Tang dynasty's imperial ambitions.
