The Pawnshop (1916) follows the comedic misadventures of Charlie, a pawnshop employee who finds himself in a series of hilarious mishaps. Initially, Charlie engages in a playful rivalry with his coworker, which ultimately leads to his dismissal by the pawnbroker. However, Charlie is swiftly rehired and promptly causes chaos within the shop, narrowly avoiding disaster. In a twist of fate, Charlie's clumsy antics inadvertently assist in apprehending a burglar.
