Seagle. The series is overseen by John Fang and is inspired by the comic M. Rex, originally published by Image Comics in 1999. In Canada, the series faced a delay and eventually premiered on January 16, 2011. The story unfolds five years after a catastrophic event that released nanites into the atmosphere, causing widespread mutations in living organisms. These mutations result in the creation of E.V.O.s (Exponentially Variegated Organisms), which are often mindless and aggressive. The organization Providence is established to combat this threat. Rex, an amnesiac teenager infected with nanites, stands out because he can control his mutations, granting him various powers and the ability to cure others. Under the guidance of Agent Six, Rex works with Providence to neutralize E.V.O.s. Their primary adversary is Van Kleiss, an E.V.O. with ties to the event that unleashed the nanites and to Rex himself.
