The Amityville Horror (2005) follows the chilling events that unfold after the Lutz family moves into a seemingly idyllic home on Long Island. The house, however, harbors a dark past: a year prior, Ronald Defeo had brutally murdered his entire family within its walls, attributing the horrific act to malevolent voices. The Lutz family, unaware of the house's sinister history, quickly finds themselves tormented by inexplicable phenomena. George Lutz, the family patriarch, is particularly plagued by terrifying visions and eerie voices, as the malevolent presence within the house begins to wreak havoc on their lives. The family's once-promising dream home turns into a living nightmare, forcing them to confront the evil that resides within.
