Sitting on the Moon (1936) follows the tale of a struggling songwriter, Danny (Pryor), who is convinced that the best way to revitalize the waning career of movie star Polly (Bradley) is to sever his creative partnership with lyricist Mike (Newell). Polly's confidante, Mattie (Kelton), steps in to offer support to Mike during this tumultuous period. In response, Mike devises a scheme to drive a wedge between Danny and Polly by introducing a blonde temptress, Blossom (Compton), who pretends to be his romantic interest. However, all the animosity and confusion are ultimately resolved in a grand musical finale.
