Year of the Dragon (1985) follows the ascent of Joey Tai (John Lone) to the top of New York's Chinese criminal underworld, marked by his brutal and unyielding tactics. Stanley White (Mickey Rourke), the tenacious police officer assigned to Chinatown, is consumed by a deep-seated animosity towards the criminal elements he seeks to dismantle. White, driven by his personal vendetta, disregards all rules and conventions in his relentless pursuit to dismantle the Chinese underground and its ruthless leader.
