Doctor Who: The War Games (TV) (1969) is an epic ten-part journey marking the conclusion of the Second Doctor's era, featuring the debut of the Time Lords. The Doctor, accompanied by Jamie and Zoe, mistakenly believes they have returned to Earth during World War One. However, they soon discover they are not on Earth at all. An alien race has been abducting soldiers from different eras of Earth's history to create the ultimate army in the universe. Leading this scheme is a rogue Time Lord, similar to the Doctor. To thwart his plans, the Doctor might have to enlist the help of his own people, potentially ending his timeless adventures forever.
