Coonskin (Street Fight) (1975) is a complex and thought-provoking exploration of racial dynamics in the United States. The film interweaves live-action segments depicting a dramatic prison escape with an animated narrative centered around Brother Rabbit, Brother Bear, and Preacher Fox. These characters ascend to prominence in the criminal underworld of Harlem, facing off against a cunning con artist, a prejudiced police officer, and the formidable Mafia. The movie offers a biting critique of societal issues through its unique blend of animation and live-action storytelling.
