Blue Submarine No. 6 (1998) is set in a future where rising oceans have submerged all low-lying lands, pitting humanity against a new adversary, Zorndyke. The conflict between surface dwellers and sea inhabitants escalates, and humanity's last hope lies with the advanced vessel, Blue Submarine No. 6, and its crew. Mayumi Kino, a dedicated pilot, is tasked with persuading Tetsu Hayami to rejoin the Blue Fleet. Initially, he declines, leading to a tense departure. However, fate brings them together again under more urgent conditions, forcing them to collaborate. Despite their differing views, they must navigate the perils of war and their personal conflicts.
