The Kids (2015) follows the tumultuous journey of Bao-li, a 16-year-old who finds himself deeply in love with an older student named Jia-jia. Their relationship takes a dramatic turn when Jia-jia becomes pregnant, leading to the birth of a child that they struggle to support financially. Initially, they manage to get by with the assistance of friends and family. However, when Bao-li's mother squanders their savings through gambling, Bao-li resorts to desperate measures, including robbery, to make ends meet.
