Summer (2008) follows the lives of Shaun and Daz, who as children were inseparable, often skipping school, racing bikes, and spending time by the lake with Katy, Shaun’s first love. Shaun's vibrant spirit clashes with an educational system that fails to nurture him, ultimately leading to his expulsion and the downfall of both him and Daz. Two decades later, Daz is confined to a wheelchair and has only eight weeks left to live. Shaun is compelled to revisit a summer of love, passion, and loyalty that marked the end of his innocence. His journey to find Katy becomes a quest for personal redemption. This film explores the themes of unfulfilled potential, dashed hopes, and the eventual rekindling of lost dreams.
