Mordsfreunde (TV) (2014) unfolds in the picturesque Taunus region of Hessen, where a series of gruesome discoveries are made at a local zoo. The unsettling findings of dismembered adult male limbs scattered across various animal enclosures prompt an investigation led by Director Christoph Sander. Sander's initial suspicions fall on a group of activists known for their radical animal rights stance, led by the charismatic and enigmatic Hans-Ulrich 'Uli' Pauly. Pauly, a respected language teacher at a prestigious private gymnasium and a former wild partygoer, becomes the central figure in the mystery. However, the plot takes a dramatic turn when a corpse is discovered in a nearby field and identified as Pauly himself, leaving the investigation to unravel the complex web of motives and secrets surrounding his death.
