Strike (1925) unfolds in the tumultuous factory districts of Russia under the Czarist regime, where discontent brews among the labor force, and clandestine plans for a strike are set in motion. The management, in response, deploys spies and external agents to infiltrate and disrupt the workers' efforts. The situation escalates dramatically when a worker, falsely accused of theft, takes his own life, sparking a full-blown strike. Initially, there is a sense of exhilaration and unity among the workers as they collectively formulate their demands. However, as the strike persists and management refuses to concede, hunger and despair begin to grip the community. Provocateurs, aligned with the police and fire department, exacerbate the workers' plight, while spies carry out their covert operations. The military is eventually called in to quell the unrest, leading to a climactic confrontation.
