Giovannona Long-Thigh (1973) follows the story of a newly appointed judge who shuts down a cheese factory due to environmental violations. The factory's owner, La Noce, seeks to reopen his business and turns to a monsignor for assistance. The monsignor directs him to a corrupt official who might help, but La Noce needs leverage. He learns about the official's secret proclivities and enlists his stammering assistant, Albertini, to find a woman willing to pose as La Noce's wife. Albertini encounters a seemingly innocent prostitute with a foul mouth. Their journey from Rome to Sicily is filled with comedic misunderstandings. Once in Sicily, La Noce's scheme to blackmail the official unfolds, bringing together a chaotic mix of characters, including La Noce's actual wife, Albertini, the prostitute, her pimp, the official, his wife, and the official's jealous secretary.
