Sherlock: The Reichenbach Fall (TV) (2012) begins with the cunning Moriarty narrowly missing the theft of the Crown Jewels, only to be apprehended intentionally. Sherlock Holmes testifies at Moriarty's trial, where the jury is intimidated into acquitting him. Moriarty later visits Sherlock, flaunting his advanced computer skills and hinting at his ability to commit any crime. Sherlock successfully rescues two kidnapped children, but his precise deductions lead the police to suspect him of complicity in the abduction, forcing him to flee with John Watson. Following another confrontation with Moriarty, who manipulates a journalist into publishing a false story about his innocence and Sherlock's manipulation, the two adversaries face off atop a towering building.
