Bless This House (TV Series) (1971) revolves around the daily happenings on Birch Avenue in Putney, where Sid Abbott, a traveling stationery salesman, and his wife Jean reside with their teenage offspring. Mike, their 18-year-old son, has recently graduated from art college and is more engrossed in social activism than in securing employment. Sally, their 16-year-old daughter, is a fashionable schoolgirl. Sid and Jean frequently struggle to understand the liberal attitudes of the younger generation, often feeling disconnected from their children's world.
