Get the Gringo (2012) follows the journey of a hardened criminal, played by Mel Gibson, who finds himself apprehended by Mexican law enforcement and subsequently incarcerated in a notoriously brutal prison. Within the grim confines of his new environment, he forms an unlikely alliance with a resilient 10-year-old boy, who becomes his guide and protector in navigating the treacherous landscape of the prison. Together, they must outwit the dangers and challenges that lie ahead, as the criminal seeks a way to regain his freedom and the boy finds a sense of hope amidst the despair.
