Going the Distance (2004) follows Nick, a young man who, after completing high school, anticipates a summer of leisure with his closest friends on Tofino beach and enjoying time with his girlfriend, Trish. However, Trish's sudden relocation to Toronto for her career aspirations throws a wrench in their plans. Determined to keep Trish, Nick decides the best course of action is to marry her. First, he must travel to Toronto and reach Trish before her unscrupulous boss makes a move. Instead of flying, Nick embarks on a road trip with his loyal friends, Tyler and Dime, in his old RV. Their journey takes them through scenic routes from Tofino to Toronto. The adventure becomes even more eventful when they pick up a couple of charming hitchhikers, adding unexpected twists and turns to Nick's quest for love.
