Torremolinos 73 (2003) follows Alfredo Lopez, an exhausted encyclopedia salesman, and his devoted wife, Carmen. Their mundane lives take an unexpected turn when Alfredo's employer, the Montoya publishing house, offers them a unique opportunity: creating erotic films disguised as educational encyclopedias for the Scandinavian market. Unbeknownst to Alfredo, Carmen has already gained fame as an adult film star in Northern Europe. A Danish film crew arrives to assist Alfredo in producing an Ingmar Bergman-inspired movie titled "Torremolinos 73." However, Carmen's true desire is to start a family, leading to escalating tension between the aspiring filmmaker and his reluctant muse.
