The Life of Mammals (TV Series) (2002) is a captivating BBC nature documentary series crafted and hosted by the renowned David Attenborough, initially aired in the UK starting from November 20, 2002. This series delves into the evolutionary journey and behaviors of diverse mammal species, marking Attenborough's fourth specialized survey following his acclaimed trilogy that commenced with "Life on Earth." Each of the ten episodes focuses on a single mammal group or closely related groups, exploring the intricacies of their daily lives. With episodes lasting 50 minutes each, except for the final one which extends to 59 minutes, the series was a collaborative effort between the BBC and the Discovery Channel. Mike Salisbury served as the executive producer, while the music was composed by Dan Jones and Ben Salisbury. The series was also broadcast on Animal Planet. As part of David Attenborough's 'Life' series, it succeeded "The Life of Birds" (1998) and preceded "Life in the Undergrowth" (2005). Notably, between these two series, Attenborough presented "State of the Planet" (2000) and narrated "The Blue Planet" (2001).
