Revancha (1948) follows the story of Rafael, a man who becomes entangled with a group of criminals in an effort to secure the funds needed to save his ailing mother from a life-threatening illness. His journey takes him to Veracruz, where he crosses paths with Rosa, a woman who is being tormented by the same criminal elements. Meanwhile, Agustín, a pianist, harbors a secret admiration for Rosa, adding a layer of complexity to the narrative.
