Vampirella (1996) unfolds on the distant planet Drakulon, a realm where vampires sustain themselves from the planet's natural rivers of blood. The malevolent Vlad slays the High Elders and flees in a spaceship. Upon discovering her father's demise, Ella vows retribution and pursues Vlad. However, her journey takes an unexpected turn as she crash-lands on Mars, remaining in suspended animation for three millennia until a space shuttle crew discovers her in the present day. Back on Earth, Ella embarks on a mission to track down Vlad, who has transformed into a rock star sensation in Las Vegas, along with his legion of followers preying on humans. She teams up with Adam Van Helsing, a member of the clandestine vampire-hunting organization Operation Purge, to thwart Vlad's scheme to plunge Earth into eternal darkness.
