Venom (2018) follows Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy), a tenacious investigative journalist based in San Francisco, who is relentlessly pursuing the enigmatic and ambitious space-tech CEO, Carlton Drake (Riz Ahmed). Eddie's determined efforts to expose Drake's questionable activities lead to his dismissal from his job and the dissolution of his engagement to Anne Weying (Michelle Williams). In a desperate attempt to gather more evidence, Eddie infiltrates Drake's clandestine laboratory, where he encounters an otherworldly entity—a viscous, black alien substance known as Venom. This alien symbiote merges with Eddie's body, transforming him into a host for the powerful and unpredictable Venom.
