Big Fish (2003) follows the life of Edward Bloom (Albert Finney), a man renowned for his extraordinary stories about his youthful adventures. Portrayed by Ewan McGregor, the younger Edward embarks on a whimsical journey from his humble Alabama hometown, traversing the globe and returning with tales that blend the fantastical with the real. His narratives include encounters with giants, surviving blizzards, and befriending conjoined-twin lounge singers. While Edward's stories captivate most, his son Will (Billy Crudup) remains skeptical. When Edward's health declines, Will, prompted by his mother Sandra (Jessica Lange), must navigate his father's stories to understand the man behind the myths, ultimately reconciling with both his father's triumphs and shortcomings.
