OH! My Gran (2020) follows the story of a grandmother suffering from dementia who is the sole witness to a critical event. In her mind, Moon Hee imagines herself as ‘Secret Jouju,’ a princess from a TV animation series. In reality, Moon Hee is a grandmother with Alzheimer’s disease, cared for by her son, Du Won, and her granddaughter, Bo Mi. During a clandestine night out with Bo Mi, the granddaughter is involved in a hit-and-run accident. Moon Hee, as the only witness, can only provide nonsensical statements. Bo Mi falls into a coma, and the police are unable to assist. Du Won must now piece together the clues from the vehicle fragments and his mother’s potentially meaningful ramblings to find the culprit.
