Maison close (TV Series) (2010) is set in Paris during the tumultuous year of 1871. The narrative revolves around the lives of women ensnared within the opulent confines of a high-end brothel known as 'Paradise.' The tale begins with the arrival of a very young woman named Rose, who ventures to Paris in pursuit of her mother, a former prostitute. Rose finds herself ensnared and compelled to join the ranks of Paradise. Vera, a 35-year-old prostitute, is acutely aware that her career is nearing its end. She places all her hopes on the Baron Du Plessis, her primary client and the only one capable of settling her debts. Hortense, the proprietor of Paradise, faces the dual challenge of protecting her girls and fending off the extortion attempts of a ruthless gangster from the outskirts of the city.
