After Him (2007) follows the story of Camille, whose life is shattered when her son Mathieu is fatally injured in a car crash. Overwhelmed by her profound grief, Camille seeks solace in an unexpected place: the company of Mathieu's closest friend, Franck, who was driving the car during the tragic incident. Franck, burdened by guilt, becomes Camille's sole source of understanding and shared sorrow, as her husband and daughter struggle to provide the comfort she needs. However, Camille's initial reliance on Franck evolves into a dark and consuming fixation.
