White Night (2009) unfolds in a small, isolated town where a pawnbroker is discovered dead in an abandoned structure. Initially, three individuals are suspected, but each has an ironclad alibi, leading the investigation to a dead end. Nearly a decade and a half later, the chief investigator decides to revisit the case. Flashing back to fifteen years prior, the victim's son took his father's life to protect his beloved from a horrific fate. The girl, in turn, ended her mother's life upon learning of the boy's actions. For fifteen years, the boy has silently eliminated anyone threatening their secret. He remains a silent guardian, asking for nothing in return. She is aware of his deeds but chooses to look the other way. As their bond deepens, more crimes occur, and the inspector's pursuit draws perilously close to their hidden world.
