Raining in the Mountain (1979) follows a legal professional who escorts a female thief and his assistant to a remote mountain temple in search of a valuable manuscript penned by Tripitaka. Concurrently, a General and his second-in-command arrive with the same objective. Both parties are welcomed to assist the ailing Abbot in choosing his successor. The legal professional and the General advocate for different senior disciples, leading to a complex dynamic within the temple.
