Peeping Tom (1960) follows the chilling story of Mark Lewis, a man whose childhood was marred by his father's disturbing experiments, which involved studying the effects of fear on the nervous system. Now an adult, Mark works as a focus-puller at a London film studio during the day and secretly takes risqué photographs at night. However, his true obsession lies in a far more sinister pursuit: he uses a movie camera to capture the terrified expressions of women as he murders them. Mark's life takes an unexpected turn when he meets Helen Stephens, a young woman who rents a room in his house. Helen's presence raises the question of whether she could offer Mark a chance at redemption or if she is unwittingly in grave danger.
