Discarded Lovers (1932) presents a gripping murder mystery set in the glamorous world of Hollywood. The story unfolds with the discovery of the lifeless body of Irma Gladden, a captivating blonde film star, in her car following the completion of her final scene in the movie "Falling Star" at Eminent Studios. Irma's unconventional lifestyle and tangled romantic entanglements create a web of potential suspects. Among those under scrutiny are Grace Sibley, the envious wife of Irma's director Warren Sibley; her inebriated actor husband Andre Leighton; her screenwriter boyfriend Rex Forsythe; and her former spouse, Robert Worth. The investigation is further complicated by the presence of visiting journalist Bob Adair, Irma's secretary Valerie Christine, and law enforcement officers Captain Sommers and Sergeant Delaney, who all contribute to unraveling the enigma surrounding Irma's untimely demise.
