The Strange Case of the End of Civilization as We Know It (1977) follows the chaotic events set in motion by the grandson of the notorious Professor James Moriarty, who declares that the world has only five days left. Moriarty, a master of disguise and a skilled marksman, begins a killing spree targeting prominent government figures, causing widespread panic. The President, desperate for a solution, learns about the existence of Arthur Sherlock Holmes, the grandson of the famous detective, residing at 221B Baker Street. The Police Commissioner of Scotland Yard is dispatched to enlist Holmes' help, but the task proves challenging. Arthur Holmes is a hot-headed, erratic, and violent individual, while his assistant, Dr. William Watson, grandson of Dr. John H. Watson, is incredibly dim-witted despite possessing "bionic bits." Holmes' drug habit, inherited from his grandfather, adds to the chaos, and Moriarty remains one step ahead, even murdering the police commissioner. In a desperate move, Holmes organizes a gathering of the world's top detectives, hoping to lure Moriarty out of hiding, but the plan goes awry.
