Kleines Tropicana - Tropicanita (1997) follows Lorenzo, a Cuban law enforcement officer with a focus on grave desecrations, as he is dispatched to Havana to probe the mysterious demise of a German national named Hermann, discovered in a renowned burial site. Throughout his investigation, Lorenzo shares his progress with his superior, Major Anancio. The narrative weaves through a complex web of characters, including Dora, an elevator attendant and Hermann's landlady, Aguila and Silvia, employees of Cultural Affairs, Chrissy, a British socialist activist, Xiomara, Hermann's mother and a local drag queen, a dwarf, and a fraudulent Guatemalan who had assaulted Chrissy during her internationalist escapades. These key figures, among others, are integral to unraveling the intricate plot of this film.
