The African Queen (1951) is a classic adventure film inspired by C.S. Forester's 1935 novel. The story revolves around Charlie Allnut (Bogart), a rough-and-tumble captain of a small steamboat, who rescues Rose Sayer (Hepburn), a devout and upright missionary, after her brother is brutally attacked by a German soldier at the onset of World War I in German East Africa. Their voyage is fraught with challenges, including navigating dangerous rapids, battling mosquitoes and leeches, and enduring constant bickering. Their ultimate goal is to sabotage The Louisa, a formidable German warship, in a daring act of resistance.
