Deadly Crossing (TV) (2011) follows the intense story of Elijah Kane, portrayed by Steven Seagal, as he takes charge of an elite undercover police unit tasked with dismantling a wave of violent and ruthless heroin dealers that have infiltrated Seattle. Kane and his highly skilled team of law enforcement officers take drastic measures, disregarding conventional rules, to eradicate the drug lords from the city. The film is notable for being the pilot episode of Steven Seagal’s television series, Southern Justice, which was later retitled True Justice. Originally titled Russian Crossing, this direct-to-DVD release by Optimum Home Entertainment revives the tradition of debuting US television series on home video before their television broadcast in the UK, reminiscent of how shows like Renegade and Walker, Texas Ranger were first seen in the 90s.
