Donator (1989) follows the life of Erich Slomovic, a young bisexual Jewish man who was renowned as the foremost art collector in pre-WWII Yugoslavia. However, his world was upended in 1941 when the German army invaded the country. The Nazis, drawn to both Erich and his invaluable art collection, began to take a keen interest in him, setting the stage for a dramatic and perilous journey.
