My Night with Maud (1969) is the third installment in Eric Rohmer's "Six Moral Tales" series. The story revolves around a devout Catholic man, Jean-Louis, who relocates to a small provincial town and decides to marry Francoise, a charming blonde he encounters during a church service. Jean-Louis's old friend Vidal introduces him to Maud, a recently divorced woman, and Jean-Louis finds himself spending the night at her place, engaging in deep philosophical conversations in her bedroom. The following morning, Jean-Louis orchestrates a chance encounter with Francoise.
