Doctor Who: Kinda (TV) (1982) takes the Doctor, Tegan, and Adric to the distant world of Deva Loka, where Nyssa stays behind in the TARDIS to recuperate from a minor mental disturbance. As the Doctor and his companions venture out, Tegan succumbs to an eerie slumber beneath some wind chimes, leading to her possession by the malevolent entity known as the Mara. Meanwhile, a survey team on Deva Loka is evaluating the planet for potential colonization. However, three members of the team have vanished, leaving Sanders, Hindle, and scientist Todd to grapple with the challenges posed by the seemingly primitive yet telepathically adept native inhabitants, the Kinda.
