Evil Instinct (1996) follows the story of Penny and Wendy, who were once close friends and colleagues. Their bond fractures when Wendy is promoted, leaving Penny feeling overshadowed and aging. Driven by jealousy, Penny departs from Hong Kong, ingests snake blood in a misguided attempt at rejuvenation, and returns with a sinister plan for vengeance. As her scheme nears completion, Penny's blood mutates into a deadly toxin, forcing her to kill others and extract their bone marrow to neutralize the poison. The escalating body count attracts the attention of Inspector Sam, who begins to suspect both Penny and Wendy as the prime suspects.
