Streets of Laredo (TV Miniseries) (1995) follows the journey of Captain Woodrow Call, who has left his Ranger duties behind to become a bounty hunter. He is contracted by an eastern railroad tycoon to pursue Joey Garza, a young and deadly marksman who strikes from afar with his rifle. Accompanied by his loyal friend Pea Eye, Call embarks on a perilous trek to southern Texas and across the Mexican border. Along the way, Call is confronted by his past, particularly through his encounters with Maria Garza, Joey's mother, who adds layers of complexity to his mission.
