Payback (TV) (1997) follows Kathryn, a restaurant owner who finds herself in a web of trouble after witnessing a brutal assault by a police officer, Kaleen. When she reports the incident, Kaleen is suspended, but his thirst for vengeance leads to a series of retaliatory actions against Kathryn and her family. Her son is falsely accused of murder, her husband's teaching career is jeopardized, and she receives threatening phone calls. With the help of Jack, an internal police investigator, Kathryn and her family must navigate the legal system and confront Kaleen's malicious schemes to clear their names and bring justice to those responsible.
