Running on Empty (2024) chronicles the journey of Mort, a man who learns he has less than a year to live. Following the departure of his fiancé, Mort finds solace in an unusual dating service that pairs individuals based on their impending death dates. As he navigates this new chapter, he crosses paths with Kate. However, their budding connection is overshadowed by the sinister presence of a deranged pimp who begins to stalk Mort, adding a layer of danger and suspense to his already tumultuous life.
