Die Nibelungen: Siegfried (Die Nibelungen - Part I) (1924) is an adaptation of the 13th-century German epic, chronicling the journey of the heroic Siegfried. The narrative begins with Siegfried's forging of a legendary sword and his triumph over a fearsome dragon. Following his victory, Siegfried bathes in the dragon's blood, granting him invulnerability except for a small spot on his back. He then confronts and defeats the dwarf Alberich. Siegfried's adventures continue as he aids Kriemhild's brother, Gunther, in his quest to win the hand of the formidable warrior maiden, Brunhild.
