Kill Pinochet (2020) is set in Chile during September 1986, where a small group of young individuals had the chance to alter their nation's course by assassinating the dictator Augusto Pinochet. Amidst one of Chile's most brutal dictatorships, a select few dared to contemplate the unthinkable: eliminating the tyrant. Ramiro, a former physical education teacher now dedicated to armed resistance, Sasha, a humble football enthusiast from Santiago's slums with no political background, and Tamara, a psychologist from an affluent family who chose to live underground and became the only female commander in the Patriotic Front, united with a shared mission—to eliminate Pinochet. The film is inspired by the true events of a botched assassination attempt orchestrated by the armed faction of the Chilean Communist Party.
