Fleshtone (1994) follows the story of Matthew Greco, an artist captivated by the macabre. His paintings depict grim scenes of murders and suicides, earning him success but leaving him isolated and yearning for a partner who shares his dark fascinations. In a bid to find someone who understands his morbid desires, he responds to a phone sex advertisement and becomes involved with Edna, a woman who appears to mirror his unusual needs. Their decision to meet in person takes a sinister turn when Matthew discovers Edna lifeless—or so it seems. Matthew is then accused of her murder, ensnared in a tangled web of deceit from which he struggles to extricate himself.
