The Odd One Dies (1997) follows the story of a not-so-bright Triad aspirant, portrayed by Takeshi Kaneshiro, who accepts a poorly compensated assassination task to prove his worth. After a stroke of luck at a casino, he seeks to exit the dangerous assignment, leading him to hire a mainlander, played by Andy Lau, to complete the job.
