The Blimp Trap (2016) follows the journey of nine-year-old Harwood, a boy living in 1977 Texas who stands out from his peers. After the devastating loss of his brother in a car accident, Harwood's mother turns to alcohol, leaving him to find solace in an unusual friendship with Billy, a mentally challenged girl from the neighborhood. The duo shares a unique bond, fueled by their fascination with the iconic blimp that soars above their town. They embark on an ambitious project to build a "blimp trap" to capture the blimp and make it their own. Despite facing ridicule for their peculiar game and friendship, their lives take an extraordinary turn when something truly remarkable occurs.
