A Soap (2006) follows Charlotte, who, after a recent breakup, finds herself residing above a transsexual named Veronica. Veronica's days are filled with earning money through sex work and indulging in daytime soap operas, while Charlotte copes with her nights through a series of casual, meaningless encounters. However, a suicide attempt, an assault, and an unexpected bond over white curtains lead the two women to form a unique connection. Their lives begin to mirror the dramatic narratives of the soap operas they have been watching, creating a blend of reality and fiction.
